My 2nd time staying at Modena. Check-in was swift and location is not too bad as there is an underground metro linking to the rest of Shanghai. Room was comfortable and even have a small balcony. As it was one night for me, I didn't get to explore the rest of the facilities

I arrive late at the hotel around 10:00 PM. The check-in staff (2 ladies and a bus boy) were very helpful. My room is built with several floors high, a little like a multi-levels house, with narrow staircases. I guess that the hotel is designed for younger people, but for older people, it is a bit uncomfortable to go up and down the stairs.

Featuring the 2-floor condo, nice balcony is a bonus! Walkable distance from subway orange line 7. However, don't try to catch the subway towards downtown during 8~9 am. You will have to go opposite way at least 3 stops to get on the train, hilarious.

Great value for money. Spacious loft type of apt that has proper kitchen, dining, living area AND a stand-alone bedroom with a large desk at the second floor. Supermarket, 24 convenient and event organic store within 200 meters. Nice and quiet neighborhood yet convenient
